The year 2007-08 saw the best ever campus placements in the recent history of Energy Systems Engineering. From the first week of December till January end , 23 offers were made to the batch of 23 M.Tech students of  Energy Systems Engineering who appeared for placements. Overall, the students were placed in 15 different companies

                 Out of the total offers, nearly 90 % came from Core Engineering/Energy companies and the rest from IT/Consulting companies. Reliance Industries made 6 job offers, while General Motors, GE Energy and Tata Motors made 2 offers each.

                The pay packages offered by the companies which recruited the students of Energy Systems Engineering ranged from 3.5 Lakhs per annum to 12 Lakhs per annum with an average of 6.2 Lakhs per annum.(Packages are mentioned on the Cost to Company basis)
