Placement Process

                         The placement cell of  IIT Bombay co-ordinates the on campus recruitment process of various companies. The companies who wish to recruit students from Energy Systems Engineering are expected to contact the placement cell (placementcell@iitb.ac.in) or the Department Placement Co-ordinator with the relevant details. The details of the placements are given at http://placements.iitb.ac.in.

                          The placement season of the final year students starts at the beginning of an academic year (Month of July) with the pre placement talks  and workshops conducted by various companies. The recruitment starts in December month and continues till the end of the academic year. The scheduling of the companies are usually done by November such that the best companies get the initial days of recruitments. A student who has secured a job in one company will be having only a limited number of opportunities to try for other companies.

                        Apart from the Core Energy companies like GE Energy, Suzlon and TERI, students also get recruited by companies working in the fields of electrical, mechanical and chemical engineering. A few of the companies which had recruited  ESE students in the past are Price Waterhouse Coopers, General Electric, Forbes Marshall, AERB, TCE, Tata Motors, General Motors, CR Labs and IBM Global.
