Department of Energy Science and Engineering
PhD (4th-5th December 2013)
1. The written test will be on 4th December 2013. SAMPLE PAPER
2. The duration of the test will be one hour.
3. There will be a subjective written test with questions from Basic physics, chemistry, maths and basic engineering.
4. Candidates who are shortlisted after the written test will have interviews on 5th December 2013.
M.Tech (14-15th May 2013)
1. The duration of the test will be one hour
2. The written test will be on 14th May 2013 and interviews will be on 15th May 2013. The date of the written test will not be changed under any circumstances
3. There will be a subjective written test with questions from Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics.
4. Although, candidate is allowed to answer questions from both Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, the cutoffs will be decided in such a way that candidates answering only Mechanical or Electrical Engineering questions can get through the exam.
PhD (8-9th May 2013)
1. The duration of the test will be one hour.
2. The written test will be on 8th May 2013 and interviews will be on 9th May 2013. SAMPLE PAPER
3. There will be a subjective written test with questions from Basic physics, chemistry, maths and basic engineering.
4. Link to selected journal articles will be available on this page. The candidate is expected to choose one. Your understanding of the chosen article will be tested during their interview, provided you pass written test.
