Field Emission Electronic Microscope

Introduction:     The FEM is a state-of-the-art electron microscope. The new field-emitter technology and advanced Gemini column allow for ultra-high resolution electron imaging, over x10,000,000 (>1nm at 15kV) for samples. ULTRA Series by Carl Zeiss features the GEMINI In-lens SE detector for clear topographic imaging and the EsB detector for compositional contrast imaging enabling simultaneous real time imaging and mixing of both signals. The EsB detector incorporates filtering technology which enables high resolution energy selective backscattered electron (BSE) imaging at low voltages revealing previously unseen image details.
