II. Scientist Position: Power System Modelling and Analysis (2 positions)
The candidates are expected to actively contribute in modelling of power system including transmission and active distribution system, detailed modelling of converter interfaced resources (solar, wind, energy storage), converter interfaced bulk loads (Data centres, electrolysers, MW scale EV charging stations etc.). The modelling and analysis will be carried out in RMS, Dynamic phasor modelling, and EMT domain, coupled with power and control hardware-in-loop (HIL) based analysis.
Essential qualification and experience:
• The candidate should be having PhD degree in electrical/power engineering, or Maters degree in electrical/power engineering with at least 2 year’s experience.
• High proficiency in EMT and RMS modelling with advanced experience of using at least one of the modelling tools from DigSILENT PowerFactory/ PSCAD/PSSE.
Desired Experience:
The candidates should be from electrical power/energy background with experience in modelling of electrical network, BESS, Converter based resources (CBRs). The candidate should have worked on renewable energy integration with good understanding of transmission and distribution system control and operation. Experience in any Real time Digital Simulators (Opal-RT/RTDS/Typhoon HIL/equivalent) will be an added advantage.
