Grid Integration Lab (GIL) at IIT Bombay, under a Deutsche Gesellschaft fรผr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH / GIZ India-supported study (under NDC-TIA India Component), has developed a multi-criteria approach for identifying and ranking key interventions for the seamless adoption of EV charging infrastructure. This work is expected to help the relevant stakeholders, including regulators, policymakers, utilities and other relevant implementation agencies working on the electrification of the transportation sector.
Deployment of an adequate EV charging infrastructure, one of the most critical factors for EV adoption, is constrained by various challenges, including technical, policy and regulatory issues. To mitigate these challenges, this work presents a robust framework for identifying critical interventions. The learnings from a critical analysis of the interventions have been utilised to frame a multi-criteria decision-making process to determine the priority of implementing the interventions to help in the smooth development of the EV charging infrastructure.
Some of the findings from this work have been recently published in an article in IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, which can be accessed from the below-given link.
