International Review on Recycling Ecosystem of EV Batteries

Under the NDC-TIA India Component, the study โ€œ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐‘๐ž๐ฏ๐ข๐ž๐ฐ ๐จ๐ง ๐‘๐ž๐œ๐ฒ๐œ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐„๐œ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐„๐• ๐๐š๐ญ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฌโ€ was conducted jointly by Deutsche Gesellschaft fรผr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Agora Verkehrswende and Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

This study focuses on the recycling ecosystem of batteries that were primarily used in electronic appliances until recently. However, with the rise of electric vehicles, thorough contemplation is necessary to recycle these batteries, supported by in-depth analysis. This study looks into the relevant policies and regulations and identifies the major international stakeholders currently in the recycling ecosystem.
