The presentation delved into the realm of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and their pivotal role in renewable energy integration. This approach employs a GRU model, ensuring optimal EV charging profiles for V2H systems. Bridging the gap between theory and reality, the model is trained and tested with real-life data on electricity pricing, house load curves, and solar PV generation. The proposed algorithm not only achieves near-optimal results but also ensures no violations in the physical constraints of EVs.

GIL at IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2024, at Phoenix, Arizona, USA

We are pleased to inform that Mr. Salil Madhav Dubey, a researcher at the Grid Integration Lab, IIT Bombay, recently attended the IEEE Energy Conversion Congress & Exposition (ECCE), 2024, at Phoenix, Arizona, USA from 20 - 24 October 2024 to share a brief overview of the ongoing research on enhancing the Low Voltage Ride-Through (LVRT) capabilities of Virtual Synchronous Generators (VSGs) within resistance-dominant networks. A dynamic current-based virtual impedance strategy that adapts to varying output conditions, ensuring both electromagnetic and electromechanical stability during severe voltage sags while adhering to grid code requirements have been proposed in this work. A key highlight of this work is the formulation of stability criteria to determine the constant coefficients for dynamically changing current-based virtual impedance, thereby optimizing performance in challenging grid conditions.
