Rajesh Kumar
Dr. Rajesh Kumar obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in physics (Solar Cell) from National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi. During the initial period of his career, he joined National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi. In 1990 he joined the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India Regional office Chandigarh (1990-1992) and after that he joined the Solar Energy Centre and involved in countries Solar Energy Programs execution. He is solely responsible for Testing and accreditation of the Photovoltaic testing facility (PVTF) of SEC as per IS 17025, quality system of NABL. He is an accomplished technical expert for technical auditing testing laboratories for PV modules and systems. . At present he is reviewing the IEC standards with view to modify them to be suitable to Indian conditions. He is responsible for all testing and certification activities in LED Lighting system in the country.
He is Asst. Project Leader of SEC in STAPP project, and is responsible for WP1 (Power and Energy Management). Under this project he is carrying out performance measurements on PV modules under standard and simulated conditions. These studies under different simulated environment conditions, will establish models on the degradation mechanism.
