Archana Sinha is a Ph.D student in the Department of Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay.
She has a wide interest in the field of photovoltaics, including the modelling, simulation and characterization of defects in PV cells and modules.

She is under STAPP project and working on the degradation aspects of PV modules like shading, delamination, browning and their investigations by using novel characterization tools like Lock-in thermography, Electroluminescence etc. She is also developing the electrical and electrothermal models for PV devices to study the effects of these defects on electrical and thermal performance of PV modules. She is involved in IITB-LU joint project "Comparison of spatially-resolved characterization techniques for PV devices" and worked at Loughborough University for 3 months.

She is also an active team member responsible for the STAPP website development.
