Welcome to the Electrochemical Energy Laboratory (EEL), a Materials Electrochemistry group at the Department of Energy Science and Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. The EEL research Laboratory is carrying out the projects include the basic researches and the developments of the new materials. There are two types of approaches to the goals in the exploratory researches. One is the systematic approach in which the basic researches are piled up step by step toward the clear goal and the other is the approach driven by trials and errors based on the unique ideas of the researchers. The research breakthroughs sometimes are derived from the unique ideas of the researchers, and are sometimes found out in the comprehensive experiments. Our group is mainly working on advanced nanomaterials with specific application areas in Lithium-ion Battery, Magnesium-ion Battery, Lithium-air Battery/Fuel cell and Electrochemical Capacitor.
