Information
The Energy System
Engineering Department at IIT Bombay has been working on energy efficiency of
glass furnaces (project sponsored by Petroleum Conservation Research Association
(PCRA)). We have developed an energy performance analysis tool for glass
furnaces.
The objective of workshop is to demonstrate the analysis tool developed. The
workshop will enable participants to get hands-on experience in using the
analytical tool for their industry. In order to get the maximum benefit from the
workshop, industry participants are requested to provide basic input data of
their furnaces in the input data sheet attached. Participants who provide data
for their industry will be given a detailed analytical report of the energy
performance of their furnace after the workshop.
Who should attend:
This workshop will be helpful to professionals from the glass industry and
consultants for the glass industry. There are no fees for the workshop but the
total number of participants from each industry is limited to ensure close
interaction.
